The Annual General Meeting of members of the Travel Health Insurance Association of Canada will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the Cricket Club in Toronto, Ontario. At the meeting, we will have two guest speakers as well as an update on THIA financials. The AGM is free to attend but only open to active THIA members. For those members who are unable to attend, we encourage you to vote on the association using the proxy form that will be emailed to you in May.

THIA has reserved a limited number of hotel rooms for attendees of our AGM on September 25th and the Innovation Summit on the 26th. The rooms are at the Canopy by Hilton Toronto Yorkville (387 Bloor Street East, Toronto ON M4W 1H7), a short walk from the Innovation Summit venue. The price is $359 per night plus applicable taxes. Clark Hoskin, Ec.D., Tourism and Destination Consultant, Deloitte LLP

For 30 years, Clark has worked in destination marketing and economic development, including frontline direction as an economic development practitioner at the local and regional levels. At Deloitte, he serves communities and organizations responsible for tourism and destination development, by helping them transform their strategic directions into actionable, measurable outcomes. He has completed work for Destination Canada, Innovation Science and Economic Development Canada, and numerous provincial, regional and local clients.

Ken has worked as an independent consultant since 1984 serving clients in insurance and financial services as well as governments and non-profit organizations. He has designed a wide variety of market research initiatives as well as advising on marketing strategy, pricing, and expense management.

Early in his career, Ken worked as an underwriter and market manager for a Canadian insurer.

Ken is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute and has completed the Pension Plan Administration Certificate (PPAC).
