The government is advising Canadians to avoid non-essential travel outside the country, insisting that this is not the time for travel due to rising cases and the contagious nature of the Omicron variant. An official notice of the travel advisory will be posted on the government’s travel.gc.ca site shortly. These measures will be in place for four weeks at which point they will be reevaluated.
