Industry News > Changes to COVID Travel Requirements
The US and Canadian federal governments have each made announcements about changes to their COVID travel requirements.
Starting Sunday, June 12, the US CDC is dropping its requirement that travellers to the country present proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test.
The Canadian goverment has announced a temporary suspension of its random COVID-19 testing at airports in an effort to reduce the hours-long airport delays at customs, missed connections, and cancelled flights. The random testing at airports will be suspended until July 1 when it will be moved off-site. Testing of unvaccinated travellers will continue at the airports but that program will also be moved off-site as of July 1.
